Last October, a 7Wonder film crew spent a day with us, filming for Kate Humbles second series of Back to the Land. This series champions the UK's most inspirational rural entrepreneurs and this episode looked at folks working in North Yorkshire. The weather was kind, the sun shone and there was an autumnal nip in the air. Our little part in the broadcast is in the second episode on 9th May 7pm BBC2. for more details have a look at the BBC website

We are really excited to be included as a finalist in the Designer Maker category - competing against some very tough Northern competition. We are set to find out if we have won this prestigious accolade on Friday 24th November at the iconic Principal Hotel, Manchester when the winners are announced at a glittering gala dinner. One the judges, Linda Barker praises the awards ""It's a privilege to be part of the illustrious judging panel and to be part of the growing phenomena that is 'The Northern Design Awards' “The award ceremony is always one of the most glamorous events in my diary, a fabulous event that celebrates the power of the North'.

If you come up to visit the studio these next few weeks, you'll find it eerily quiet and cool. Our furnace is off for annual maintenance.

We enjoyed being part of a fundraising event organised by Durham & Cleveland Members of the Art Fund. We presented a lecture, thanks go to Rosedale's 'Coach House' for hosting the lecture which was followed by opportunity to watch Stephen blow glass in the studio. The Art Fund has helped two collections purchase our unique works, the Fitzwilliam & Bolton Museum & Art Gallery.
