BBC One - Countryfile
We have been very lucky and met this lovely fella a few weeks ago, when BBC Countryfile came to spend a day with us.
This coming Sunday you'll be able to see our time together on BBC ONE 7th April at 7pm.
The programme marks the 70th anniversary of the creation of the National Parks.
We are delighted to have small part on the show, where we will be spinning an overlay glass plate and taking John through the process and the landscape that inspires our work.
Can you post glass ?
Can you post your glass safely is a question we are often asked, and yes is the answer.
We use good quality packing materials and a sturdy box to protect the glass in transit. The Royal Mail delivers all our UK parcels on a guaranteed signed for next day service. If you are not in, they will keep it safe until you re arrange delivery or collect it from the local office. We send our glass successfully throughout Europe and Worldwide.
Glassmaking - Root Vases
We've been making our small Root vases this week, in a wide variety of colours. These vases are so easy to use for the non flower arrangers amongst us (myself included), any seasonal flowers seem to position themselves effortlessly.
Though not available to order online, give us a call or an email if you'd like us to post one off to you.
Website Issues - thanks for your patience
We've been doing some work on our website which caused a few hiccups in it's usual smooth running.
Many people brought the problem to our attention and we are very grateful.
Thanks for your patience and as you can see we are all back up and running.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the technical issues.
Warm regards from Rosedale

A Cool, Quiet Hotshop
The furnace is quiet and cold. It's a situation no glassmaker enjoys, but a necessary one to ensure full maintenance of all combustion systems. As the weather becomes cooler, it's even more of a thermal shock following the wonderful summer. We are looking forward to relighting the heart of the building and blowing glass again. Provisional dates looks to be mid October for the first gather.
If you are coming up to visit the studio, there's always a warm welcome, tho, you may need to wear an extra layer.
Popping Up in Sheffield - July 27-29
We will be popping up in Sheffield as part of this new event, run by the team at Great North Events with our studio production and limited edition bowls, with a mini version of our Rosedale studio. Look forward to seeing you.
July 27-29 at the Millennium Gallery, Sheffield

Andy Goldsworthy - Rosedale
Artist Andy Goldsworthy is making a series of works in Rosedale, which will eventually form a beautiful walking trail in Northdale.
We are delighted to have made a small contribution to one of the works in the form of an Occulus, for Jobs Well, and we are really looking forward to the completion of the project which is supported by the David Ross Foundation.
