It's been a slow year in the garden and I am very pleased to say, at last our Howgate Wonder apple tree is finally in blossom. The delicate and short lived pink blooms are stunning.

I've started work on our next limited edition bowl.

Huzzah!

Sorry folks, we are currently sold out of the large French grey vases, Stephen will be making some in the next week or two.

Signs of life, our Howgate Wonder apple tree is taking her time with her blossom in the current chilly climate.

Late evening light fell onto the last of the Fox Glove limited edition bowls bringing out the very best of their colour.

Swedish overlay is a technique created in Orrefors in the early 1900's.

It's a challenging technique which creates a fine layer of colour on the outside on the piece. We fuse two coloured bubbles together (colour on the inside of the bubble, cased in clear glass) and then turn one of them inside out.

There's one way to get it right and thousands of ways to get it very wrong. Happily, Stephen has is down and is making some beautiful forms and overlaying some beautiful colours which we plan to present later this summer.

Our little studio lies out of sight of the main village green, we are behind the Church yard, hidden away on a side street.

from the North turn right at the first Rosedale sign you see, by the Church gates

from the South and Pickering straight on at the cross roads and turn left at the end of the Church wall

From the West, at the bottom of Chimney bank turn left at the junction and keep bearing left all the way around the bend, you can't miss us

From Egton in the East when you arrive at the crossroads, turn right and then at the end of the Church wall take the left by the Rosedale sign.
